This live-presentation project was created to support in-person training for a group of employees in this organization. This will consist of a slide deck and presentation guide. This training was developed following the ADDIE model.
This is an add-on to the presentation pack-slide deck. This employee handbook was created in Adobe In-Design to accompany the presentation deck. This training resource was developed following the ADDIE model.
This live presentation pack was created to organize training into a visually appealling and easily understandable way. The slide deck that will be used during a live session presents broader concepts for the audience that is then filled in with detail in the employee handbook. The two documents are organized so that the learner can read detailed information in the handbook as the presenter moves through the presentation. This project was done for the Municipal Theater in St. Louis, MO.

The MUNY is the oldest and largest outdoor theater in the United States, accommodating 11,000 patrons during nightly performances. The MUNY produces seven broadway-caliber shows during the Summer season and hires approximately 900 seasonal employees. Due to the large number of employees hired for the season, and staff turnover, there was a need to create and revise materials to help make the training more consistent. This will allow the MUNY to make more-efficient use of the 2-hour in-person training allotment that they have for pre-season training.
To make the training more consistent and modernized, I created a visual slide deck and reorganized the employee handbook to serve as a learning aid during presentation.
My Process
This project served as a valuable experience in designing a learning experience that was designed for a live audience. This could have easily been adapted to an online format as much of the work was organizing technical information and organizing the information in a compelling visual format.
One challenge of this project was internalizing and reducing redundancies in the technical information. I was able to overcome this by working systematically to tag various information as I read through the handbook and then organize it by job responsibilities. From there I edited content for redundancies until we had a concise, informative product.
